Allantoin

Argania Spinosa (Argan) Nut Oil
Bursting with vitamin E and linolenic acid, argan luxuriates skin and hair, which is why it is the prime ingredient in our Restorative Conditioner. Pregnant ladies should look to argan oil as a way to naturally support a healthy glow.
Behentrimonium Chloride
Rapeseed plants hold this important compound within them. We use BC as an excellent detangler and a buildup-free conditioner. You can expect to find it in our hair care products.
Borago Officinalis Seed Oil
Better known as Syria's starflower, borage's five-petaled blossoms produce an oil perfect for Nine Naturals' Belly Butter. It reduces redness and helps minimize stretch marks; it's also gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Brassica Oleracea Italica (Broccoli) Seed Oil
This oil, derived from those dinnertime clumps of green, is our natural replacement for silicone in our products. It gushes with erucic acid -- itself loaded with healthy Omega-9's -- which makes your hair brilliant without a greasy feeling.
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter

Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) Seed Oil

Carnauba Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax
Derived from the leaves of Brazilian palm trees, carnauba wax is used to thicken the oil parts of solid products like our lip balm and body balm. The wax also helps gives form and structure to our lip and body balm products, as well as ensuring a smooth application.
Cetearyl Alcohol
Derived from coconuts, this emulsifier is part of our hair conditioning system, lending your hair a special sheen. Our shampoos and conditioners include it to give you a salon-fresh finish.
Cetearyl Olivate
As you might guess, this ingredient is derived from olives. An emulsifier, it softens both your hair and your skin. We use it in our Belly Butter for its moisturizing capacity.
Citric Acid

Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Oil

Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil

Citrus Reticulata (Mandarin) Fruit Oil

Cocos Nuciferi (Coconut) Oil

Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax

Glycerin
This product comes from coconuts. It's a humectant, or moisturizing substance. It protects your skin and helps conserve its moisture balance -- a requirement to preventing stretch marks and scars during pregnancy.

Guar Gum
Processed guar beans produce the eponymous gum; like xantham gum, it moisturizes and conditions. It also contributes to our products' thick richness and texture.
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil

We feature this oil in our Regenerative Belly Butter.
Olea Europa (Olive) Fruit Oil
The storied olive tree produces fruit which, when pressed, release this famously sustaining oil. Rich in vitamin E, it nourishes and moisturizes dry skin and hair. Our shampoos, conditioners, and body washes all contain this.
Panthenol (Vitamin B5)
Shore up on nutrients with cosmetics that contain this. Panthenol converts into pantothenic acid, which passes vitamin B5 through the skin. Our shampoos and conditioners include it to improve hair texture and strength.
Pelargonium Graveolens (Geranium) Flower Oil
Geranium is highly regarded for its luxurious, intimate, almost royal fragrance that pregnant women adore. Frequently used in aromatherapy, it can harmonize your emotions and help balance your hormones.
Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil
Avocado oil -- found in the fruit's flesh, not the seeds -- is impressive. It's one of the best skin conditioners produced from nature. For that reason, we just had to include it in our Soothing Body Wash to help with dry, itchy skin that often accompanies pregnancy.
Potassium Sorbate
Derived from rowans berries, this important fruit in European mythology is a strong all-natural, food-grade preservative. We love it for its ability to kill harmful microorganisms and maintain our products' freshness.
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil
What you munch on as a healthy snack can produce this silky oil. It softens skin and may help clear it of blemishes. It also contains healthy Omega-6 and -9 fatty acids, which can stimulate hair growth and strength.
Quillaja Saponaria Extract
The evergreen Soap Bark tree of Chile produces this cleansing property. As an antimicrobial skin moisturizer, Quillaja Saponaria lathers when it meets water. Our conditioners contain this to help keep your hair and scalp both clean and moisturized.
Schinziophyton Rautanenii Kerne (Mongongo) Oil
Mongongo oil is a nutrient rich oil from Zambia, Africa that has been used for centuries by the !Kung bushmen of the Kalahari to cleanse and moisturize skin. Mongongo oil is high in Vitamin E and other nutrients perfect for nourishing skin.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil
The Jojoba shrub of the Sonoran and Mojave deserts sources this moisturizing oil. It improves skin's elasticity and suppleness: because it's chemically similar to human skin oil, using it can balance your skin's oil production.
Sodium Chloride
Derived from sea or salt mines, sodium chloride is only science-speak for salt.
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate
This ingredient, akin to salt, comes from coconut. SCI rounds out our "green" surfactant blend, our products' soap, which contains absolutely no sulfates or PEGs, ingredients that may contain the carcinogen 1,4-dioxane.
Sodium Hyaluronate
We use this ingredient for its benefits to dry skin, which can trouble pregnant women. SH is salt derived from hyaluronic acid, a natural component found in the skin of your face. It boosts skin's suppleness and reduces itchiness, key to preventing stretch marks.
Sodium Lauroamphoacetate
Like sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, this ingredient is derived from coconut. SL is a component of our all-natural cleansing surfactant blend, and also boosts the foaming action in our shampoos and body wash, for a great cleaning effect in the shower.
Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate
This cleansing agent results from processing coconuts. We utilize it as a component of our environmentally conscious surfactant blend, which is the soap we use in our shampoo and body wash products.
Sorbitan Olivate

Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter
Cocoa Butter is extracted from cacao pods that grow on the cacao tree, a tree native to the Americas. Naturally rich in fatty acids and antioxidants, it is a nourishing emollient that helps moisturize and heal skin.
Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupuaçu) Fruit Extract
Brown-barked Cupuaçu trees of the Amazon basin grow the eponymous fruit. We love its supply of Omega-6 and -9 fatty acids, which nourish hair and support its growth. Cupuaçu butter also contains phytosterols, natural components of plants that stimulate hair growth and can help regulate your skin's health.
Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
Isolated from vegetable oil, vitamin E works as an important antioxidant. What's more, it conditions and moisturizes skin -- making it an ideal ingredient for our Regenerative Belly Butter.
